PlayStation®Eye
PS Move API is an open source library for Linux, macOS and Windows to access the Sony Move Motion Controller via Bluetooth and USB without the need for a PS3. Downloads Source and binary: PS Move API 4.0.12 (2020-12-19). I found out that final cut won't recognize the iSight, but it doesn't really matter, because the latest version of quick time pro will record video via the iSight, and then you can just drag and drop the video into your editing window for FC. Mar 12, 2020 I have a PS3 eye camera, and i'm using it on PC (windows 10) with CL eye driver test, it still works (i'm using it for a track hat) if i open cl eye driver test i can see on the monitor my face recorded by cam, but if i try to use webcam with other application (facebook, skype etc.) it doesn't work, simple the cam it's not recognized, Any.
Jan 19, 2017 FREE and EASY to use program makes your Playstation webcam ( model: SLEH-00448 ) work on Windows Sony will tell you that your Playstation Eye Cam ( model: sleh-00448 ) will only work on PS3? But THIS IS NOT TRUE. After an hour of browsing the web, I found the answer. Watch this following video for simple instructions. Anybody here using the PS3 eye on a mac, i have seen reviews that say it works with the maccamm drivers i wanted to know if the mic works too, any info would be greatly appreciated. Amazon seems to be selling them for a good price and i wanted to know if it works correctly on a mac.

[Henry Tonoyan] has started getting into OpenCV and digital control system projects. He needed a decent webcam that could do higher than standard frame rates. As it turns out, the PS3 Eye is actually a pretty capable little camera. Now that it’s kind of obsolete, you can have it for as little as $7 from places like Amazon!
Playstation Eye Driver
The PS3 Eye has a standard USB interface, and after messing around with it a bit in Linux, [Henry] was able to adjust the frame rate settings for his application. He’s using a library called video for Linux with an application called qv4L2. It’s capable of 60fps at VGA, which we admit isn’t amazing, but at $7, we can’t complain — if you drop down to QVGA (320×240) you can go up to 120fps.
From there you can play around in OpenCV to your heart’s content.
